Talawa Firsts has played a big part in centring stories by Black playwrights. Now, the Talawa Firsts Writers' Podcast brings together Talawa's Artistic Director Michael Buffong with writers past and present.
As Michael spins the wheel, Archie Maddocks and William Nyerere Platsow answer questions and discuss issues; everything from navigating the industry as Black writers, self-care, handling rejection and ‘notes’, to their writing methods, motivations and much more.
